 Our Leadership Program meets every other Monday, September through May from 4:30 to 7:30pm at various Manhattan Beach locations according to class topic. There are 18 meetings in all.
The Leadership Program has three elements:
1. Class Retreats
You develop effective group dynamics and leadership skills through team building activities.
2. Classroom Lessons
We promote community awareness and involvement through a variety of lesson topics.
3. Industry Tours
We demonstrate how leadership theories are put to use in business.
Class sessions include:
- Orientation (September)
- Overnight Retreat - Leadership Development (mandatory)
- Meet the City: Past, Present & Future
- Business and Economics in South Bay
- Environmental Issues
- Sustaining a Healthy Community
- Education System in Manhattan Beach
- MB City Council Simulation
- Art in the South Bay
- Tours of local organizations and companies
Each class has its own dedicated social networking website so that class members can exchange information and provide updates between class sessions. Class participants maintain their own Profile on the website and are free to start discussions and post events to the class calendar.
